We use steel threads at all fastening points, hose ends, filter head to bracket threads and most important the filter to filter housing thread. Don't change your oil as often keep it clean, with EGR valves on diesels it only makes sense.  Keep the soot out of the oil with this simple to install kit, (takes ten minutes to install).  The Amsoil one micron filter is the key to this system.  Comes with  billet aluminum oil filter cap and oil filler cap with fittings installed ready to go.  Extended oil changes 20.000 miles with standard diesel oil, and 60.000 miles with full synthetic oil, changing the full flow filter every 5.000 miles and topping off oil. If you use the Amsoil or Blackstone labs testing program these and much longer intervals are possible.Simple to install remove two bolts on alternator put on bracket, screw on filter, remove stock oil filter cap and oil fill cap, replace with supplied caps, put on hoses.
