They do not have the Anti-Drain Back Valving that this Genuine BRP filter has. The Ryker oil filter sits high in the engine. If you use another filter without the Anti-Drain Back feature. The oil will drain out of the filtration system back into the engine. This means that at start-up, it will take some time for the oil pump to refill the empty space in the system. This is precious time that critical components will have ZERO oil and ZERO oil pressure. The Anti-Drain Back valving keeps the oil system full and immediately ready to deliver oil to all components at start-up. This is a very important feature and should not be compromised.
